Futures

Futures trade on CME Globex from Sunday 6:00 PM ET through Friday 5:00 PM ET, with a daily maintenance break from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM ET. The Prop Pit's permitted cutoff is earlier: all Futures positions must be flat by 4:00 PM ET.

  • All Futures positions must be flat before 4:00 PM ET each trading day — overnight holding is not permitted.
  • The EOD Max Loss resets at 5:00 PM ET each day (the start of the next session).
  • Major contracts include: ES, MES, NQ, MNQ, CL, GC, and others on CME Globex.

Stocks

Stocks trade on NYSE and NASDAQ during the regular session: 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET, Monday through Friday. Pre-market and after-hours access is not available on Prop Pit accounts.

  • All positions must be flat before 4:00 PM ET — overnight holding is not permitted.
  • No trading on US market holidays when exchanges are closed.

Crypto

Crypto markets trade 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but The Prop Pit still uses an internal trading session so trading days can be counted consistently.

  • The internal Crypto trading day runs from 5:00 PM ET to 4:59 PM ET the next day.
  • Overnight holding is permitted — positions may remain open across internal sessions and weekends.
  • The EOD Max Loss calculation and daily/session tracking use that 5:00 PM ET cutoff.

All-in-One

All-in-One accounts combine all three asset classes. Each position follows the trading hours of its respective asset class.

  • Futures positions within an All-in-One account must be flat by 4:00 PM ET.
  • Stock positions must be flat by 4:00 PM ET.
  • Crypto positions may be held overnight.
