A lockout restricts or suspends your ability to trade on an account. Some lockouts are temporary (intraday), while others are permanent. Understanding what triggers them is essential to protecting your funded account.
What Triggers a Lockout
- EOD Max Loss breach — if your account equity falls to or below the trailing EOD Max Loss threshold, your account is permanently closed.
- Rule violations — breaching hedging rules, consistency rules, or other platform-specific trading restrictions can result in immediate account termination.
- Inactivity — going more than 7 consecutive days without placing a trade results in account termination (see Inactivity Rules).
Types of Lockouts
| Type | Trigger | Result |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Lock | EOD Max Loss hit intraday | No new positions until next session |
| Account Breach | EOD Max Loss breached at session close | Account permanently closed |
| Rule Violation | Prohibited strategy detected | Account permanently closed |
| Inactivity | 7 days without a trade | Account terminated |
What Happens After a Breach
If your account is breached or terminated, it cannot be recovered or reinstated. You would need to purchase a new account to start again.
- Daily locks are the only temporary lockout — they reset automatically at the start of the next trading session.
- Account breaches, rule violations, and inactivity terminations are permanent.
- There is no appeal process for accounts that hit the EOD Max Loss threshold.
Important
If you believe a lockout was applied in error, contact support via Discord with your account details. However, account breaches from hitting the EOD Max Loss are final.
